It was of great importance that the construction should adapt to the character of the surrounding landscape and Nordic climate. The villa takes its resemblance from the Mexican culture – both in color and the construction. From the garage, you move up three floors to the house, just as you are climbing a Maya construction. The villa is situated with a great view overlooking Oslo from the south to the north. 2nd floor has an open floor plan with double doors opening to nature, which again gives a feeling of bringing the landscape inside.
The two main materials are larch and plastered leca blocks. The larch will adjust over time and change to a grey color.
