The villas at Midtoddveien are a cluster of two separate family units overlooking Kolbotnvannet. The architecture of these units reflects the distinctive topography and characteristics of the space and its adjacency to the water. Using cross-laminated timber throughout the construction of the main house adds an even stronger connection to nature and brings the surroundings inside. It was of great importance that both the villas not only have a direct connection to nature, but also the lake.
A way of enhancing the relation to the lake was to install large glass windows on the west façade of the villas. This forms a stronger connection to the interior and water.
