Teaterbrygga housing complex has a unique location with the mountains and water facing east, and the city and residential area to the north. These were important factors when developing the project and site plan. You can find both apartments and residential care in the housing complex. All apartments are different in size but meet the required standard for the housing. The buildings are placed to create a warm and welcoming inner courtyard with most of the recreation rooms facing this space.
Seven residential care homes are established in the housing complex, with a communal area on the ground floor. All seven care homes are one-bedroom apartments built to meet the requirements of the users and external caretakers. The residents have a direct entrance to private terraces from their living rooms. The care homes are developed to be a natural part of the housing complex, but with a communal entrance. Each apartment has its own parking located in the basement.
The building is created using different volumes which again gives penthouses with a unique view. The parking is located underneath the ground. The façade is created using light and warm material. The light material brings the focus on the balconies in cross-laminated wood.
