Stein Halvorsen arkitekter won this competition in 2010.
Stein Halvorsen arkitekter has, in collaboration with Habil utbygging AS managed to create a housing complex that fulfills all the given requirements for the architecture.
The Bossekop housing complex is a unique project that is situated at a bay shed by the Bossekop mountain. This location gives the inhabitants a spectacular view facing the ocean and mountains in the west. The architects have used the ground to develop a housing complex that is circling the bay. All the buildings are linked together by a road that goes straight through the area. This will give the inhabitants a feeling of connection to both their neighbors but also the surrounded nature. By really using the bay to create the housing all the apartments will have direct sunlight and great views. The buildings are divided into three different structures. The buildings that are circling the bay are divided into smaller four stories houses, with two apartments on each floor. The top floor is used for penthouses with a bigger terrace.
At the pier, there will be five two-story buildings containing both apartments and horizontal split semi-detached houses. The area closest to the Bossekop mountain is situated by duplexes and semi-detached houses.
By creating a space collecting both duplexes and apartments the area will become a public space with multiple types of prospects.
