The cabin is situated at Høgevarde among rough nature and majestic mountains. It is a cabin constructed for DNT (Tourist Union), with an open plan for a homely warm common area. The sleeping area is situated in another wing secluded from the rest of the cabin. The cladding functions as a jacket wrapped around the cabin protecting it from the rough weather storming outside.
Larch is the material used in the construction. This type of wood adjusts over time after the weather conditions. Today, the building blends into the scenery with its grey cladding.
