This singel family dwelling replaced an old cabin, situated in the eastcoast of Norway. The footprint of the dwelling follows an U-form on the site. The layout breaks up the continuity of the facades, and creates an outdoor area which gives shelter from the wind. The shed roofs and windows open towards to sea and the landscape, allowing natural light to flood the living spaces. The natural silvered patina of the wood (aspen), reflects the colours of the rocks in the riviera.
