Stein Halvorsen Arkitekter AS have since 1996 adorned public and private spaces both in Norway and overseas. The architects are based in Oslo and Tønsberg, with 30 team members – 26 architects, two DAK Operators and two Administrative Managers. The architects always approach a project with balance between man and nature, and it is of great importance that the building adapts to the character of the space, the Nordic climate, and the exceptional light in the Northern hemisphere.
Stein Halvorsen Arkitekter have two co-partners – Magnus Eikrem Rynning-Tønnesen and Asgeir Stordal. Magnus joined in 2007 and Asgeir in 2010. Stein Halvorsen and his colleagues placed themselves on the architectonic map in 96’ when they won the competition for the Sami Parliament in Karasjok. The architects always thrive to create impeccable constructions that acknowledge the natural landscape. Their portfolio consist of a variety of projects – cabins, villas to more complex structures such as fire stations and courthouses.
